Turning to the Jarvis family

This month we celebrate the birthdays of two ancestors on Dad's line: Annie Jarvis Webb Wilkinson, and her mother, Amelia Jarvis Webb. None of you probably remember Dad's grandma, Annie Wilkinson Colvin. She was pretty old when Dad and I got married, and she died when Spencer was a baby. Anyway, her mother was Annie Jarvis Webb. This is a photograph of her:

Annie was born January 15th, 1883. She is the little girl standing in the photo below with a few siblings and her mother, Amelia Jarvis Webb, whose birthday we also celebrate this month. She was born January 3, 1853, in London, England. Amelia walked all the way from Florence, Nebraska, to Utah when she was only 7 years old as part of the pioneer trek that began in 1847.

We have a lot of information about the Jarvis family which I will share as time goes on, but if you would like to read about it on your own, ask me for the book called "The Essence of Faith" by Mary Miles Kleinman.
